An Emerging Museum Professional with a Focus on Advocacy and Play

For 4 months, I was blessed to be an intern at the Indiana Medical History Museum. While there, I helped with daily maintenance of the space and served as a customer service representative for guests making reservations and on tours. ​

However, my big project was to create online lesson plans for educators in Indiana. Utilizing Google Classroom, I created three different online lesson plans for three grade areas: grades 3-5, 6-8, and high school students. All adhered to the mission, while also delving into the discussion of mental health awareness and destigmatization. While not enacted yet, they are being used to lay the groundwork on what kinds of lesson plans the Indiana Medical History Museum can use in the future to reach more students.
