An Emerging Museum Professional with a Focus on Advocacy and Play

The Clubhouse a social service agency for people living with mental illness to have a healthy environment where they can find friendship, housing, education, employment, and even access to medical and psychiatric services. There are over 300 Clubhouses across the world.

In Fall of 2020, my class in Museums, Health, and Wellbeing partnered with our local Clubhouse: Circle City Clubhouse. Because our coursework was focused on how museum can integrate healthcare and wellbeing practices into museums while also working with health facilities, we wanted to work with Circle City Clubhouse to help them create a tour that could potentially attract new members while also expressing their needs to new donors. My team was in charge of the interpretive aspect of the tour and was integral in creating the tour script.
